Work Schedule
Student assistant may work anywhere from 3-15 hours per week depending on the courses that need an assistant and their schedule. Work will be done in the classrooms either on the USC Upstate main campus or at The George.

Advertised Job Summary
The Center for Academic Innovation and Faculty Support seeks applications from highly motivated, detail-oriented students to work 3-12 hours per week to serve as HyFlex Student Assistant. We expect this work to be completed in-person for both campuses.
Key duties include:
  • Participate, as needed, in training to use relevant software
  • Assist faculty with technology in the classroom
  • Upload and deploy documents and PowerPoints in Zoom and Teams
  • Monitor chat for questions and concerns during class session
  • Organize and manage breakout groups
  • Create and manage polls
  • Complete other duties as needed.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must be a currently enrolled student at USC Upstate. Federal Work Study students are preferred and have a(n):
  • Excellent listening, written communication, grammar, and proofreading skills.
  • Willingness and ability to work in web-based applications
  • Willingness and ability to work independently with direction
  • Willingness to ask for guidance when needed
  • Ability to multitask
