Primary Purpose:
Advises students and hiring managers related to on-campus and off-campus student employment opportunities. Provides superior customer service by establishing relationships with departments and managers that lead to the creation of experiential learning and career opportunities for students, resulting in enhanced student engagement and retention, as well as producing engaged alumni.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Provides advising to students during one-to-one or groups appointments about on campus employment, how to qualify, the application and hiring process, how to be a successful student employee and how on campus employment fits into their career goals.
2. Works to further develop and create new student employment opportunities across campus, ensuring consistency in the student employment on boarding and training processes, as well as in the professional development opportunities for students and hiring managers.
3. Collaborates with Financial Aid regarding Federal Work Study aid, eligibility, and program compliance.
4. Ensures student employment transactions, including hiring, rehiring, terminations, job description updates and postings are completed in a timely manner.
5. Aids in the creation and implementation of trainings, workshops, and presentations for students and hiring managers regarding student employment opportunities, the development of position descriptions, how to utilize JobX, Handshake, and others.
6. Monitors Federal Work Study limits and notifies students and supervisors when limits have been met.
7. Assists with recruiting events such as Career Fairs, Student Employment Fairs, and Information Sessions, among others.
8. Attends and participates in workshops and meetings as it relates to student employment.
9. Maintain student confidentiality in accordance with FERPA regulations.
10. Verifies student information and evaluates student eligibility.
11. Performs data entry of financial aid documents.
12. Works evening and weekends as requested.
13. Completes other projects as required.
14. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge:
1. Basic knowledge of Federal and State financial aid regulations and programs.
2. Clerical - Thorough knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
3. Customer and Personal Service - Working knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
4. Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
5. Service Orientation - Proficient skills in actively looking for ways to help people.
