What is a youth mentor?

Youth mentors are individuals who provide guidance, support, and encouragement to young people, typically helping them develop life skills, set goals, and overcome personal or academic challenges. They may work with youth in schools, community organizations, or after-school programs, serving as positive role models. Youth mentors build trusting relationships, offer advice, and help mentees navigate issues related to education, career planning, and social development. Their goal is to empower youth to reach their full potential and make positive life choices.
