Job description

Inova Alexandria, Mount Vernon and Loudoun Hospital are looking for dedicated Diagnostic Imaging MRI Trainees to join the team. This role will be full-time day shift from Monday - Friday.

Diagnostic Imaging MRI Trainee Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in a structured training program to learn the principles of MRI technology, safety protocols, and patient care procedures.
  • Complete Training Modules and exams as scheduled.
  • Attend educational sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology relevant to MRI imaging.
  • Prepare MRI equipment and examination rooms before procedures.
  • Safely administer starter IV, and correctly utilize the power injector for exams requiring IV contrast.

Minimum Qualified:

  • Education: High School or GED 
  • Experience: 2 years of clinical working experience
  • Certification: 
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered in radiography or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMIT) or Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification 18 months upon acceptance of the offer.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support required upon start

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience preferred as Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist and/or MRI Technologist in a hospital/healthcare environment or recent student at Inova Health System.
