Position Overview: The Student Support Assistant is to serve the needs of the school as directed by the principal. The goal of every school is to increase student achievement, so the Student Support Assistant should be prepared to assist with tasks, instruction and/or redirection in order to achieve the goal for all students. The Student Support Assistant will need to be flexible with their daily schedule, able to meet the expectations associated with an active job, and be able to work collaboratively to achieve goals.
This Classified Role will be:
  • 5.5hours a day / .5 for lunch = 6 hours (exact hours to be determined by the principal but to be aligned with the student day)
  • 180 days a school year
  • No insurance benefits

Required: Proof of one of the following:
  • 60 completed college credit hours, official or unofficial transcripts are accepted
  • Minimum score of 460 or greater on ParaPro PRAXIS score
