POSITION VACANCY
Position Title: Student Registration and Family Support Secretary
Location: District Office / Assigned School or Department, Wilmington, Delaware
Reports To: Supervisor of Student Services, School Choice, or Assigned Administrator
Work Year: 12 Month Position
Salary: In accordance with Red Clay Consolidated School District salary schedule and negotiated agreements--Administrative Secretary 2A
Job Goal: To ensure efficient, accurate, and family-centered student registration and enrollment processes through expert use of Infinite Campus; to provide districtwide training and support for school secretaries managing registration; and to serve as a primary liaison for families requiring assistance with enrollment, residency, and registration procedures.
Performance Responsibilities:
  • Manage student enrollment, registration, transfers, withdrawals, and residency verification using Infinite Campus.
  • Serve as district lead support resource for school-based secretaries on registration procedures, policies, and Infinite Campus workflows.
  • Develop and deliver training materials, workshops, and procedural guidance for registration staff.
  • Provide direct customer service and support to families regarding enrollment requirements, documentation, school choice, and registration timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with Delaware Department of Education regulations and district policies regarding student registration.
  • Monitor data accuracy, troubleshoot registration issues, and collaborate with IT and school leadership to improve processes.
  • Support multilingual and diverse family needs with professionalism, confidentiality, and equity-focused service.
  • Prepare reports, maintain records, and assist leadership with registration audits and process improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate communication between district departments, school offices, and families related to registration.
  • Perform additional clerical or administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of secretarial, student services, or school office experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Infinite Campus or comparable student information systems strongly preferred.
  • Experience training adults or facilitating professional development preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.

Physical Requirements:
Regular office duties including sitting, standing, walking, use of computers, and communication with staff and families.
