Job description

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks an ONLINE STUDENT RECRUITMENT COORDINATOR to serve as the primary recruiter for UAB Online, develop prospective student leads and guide applicants through every stage of the enrollment process. To provide admissions counseling, including program details, application requirements, and financial aid information, while supporting students transition from inquiry to enrolled status. To represent UAB Online through proactive outreach, virtual engagement, and ongoing communication designed to drive enrollment growth. 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as the primary recruiter for UAB Online degree-seeking programs, cultivating and maintaining prospective student leads while guiding students through the enrollment process.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding admissions policies and procedures, application requirements, financial aid opportunities, and online program offerings.
  • Provide admission counseling and informational resources to prospective students, assist students through all aspects of the admissions process, and support the transition of admitted students to enrolled status.
  • Represent UAB Online through outreach and engagement activities designed to support enrollment growth, including telephone and email communications, virtual recruitment sessions, and other prospective student engagement opportunities.
  • Travel may be required for this position. This position may work evenings and weekends with a flexible schedule to meet student recruitment needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
(Annual Salary  $41,175  -  $52,000)
Bachelor's degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement..
The ideal candidate will be results-oriented and demonstrate sound judgment, strong decision-making abilities, and exceptional attention to detail. This individual will possess excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build meaningful relationships with prospective students and provide a high level of customer service throughout the enrollment process. The successful candidate will be highly organized, capable of managing multiple student inquiries and recruitment activities simultaneously while meeting established goals and deadlines. Additionally, the candidate will demonstrate a collaborative and transparent approach to problem-solving, maintain high standards of professionalism, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The ability to learn specialized university systems and technology, adapt to changing priorities, and communicate effectively through phone, email, text, and virtual recruitment platforms is essential. Experience with database and CRM systems, along with a commitment to guiding prospective students from inquiry through enrollment, is preferred. Experience working as a remote employee is desired.
