Job Description:
Provides leadership for the Office of Student Affairs with primary management responsibilities in the areas of I) medical student programs and transition ceremonies, 2) medical student services and office operations, including approval of excused absences, career advising programming, maintenance of medical student rosters, and 3) student professional development through oversight of career events
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required or a combination of education and experience in lieu of higher education will be considered (four years or more).
Experience in providing career advising information within higher education required?
Experience designing and implementing career advising resources, including coursework (example would be M1-M4 curriculum) through Blackboard, websites and other media.
Competency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and Desktop publishing software required.
Knowledge and experience with The University of Toledo, HSC, and COM policies, procedures, and practices is strongly preferred.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and to be sensitive to the needs and concerns or students, faculty, and staff.
Must be well organized and able to work independently, possessing a high degree of initiative and motivation
Experience with higher education portals or medical education portals are preferred
Must be student-centered and handle stressful situations in a professional manner.
Must be flexible and able to manage multiple high priority demands
Must possess excellent written, verbal and communication skills
