Position Summary
The University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine is actively recruiting a Program Director for the Advanced Education Program in Orthodontics at the rank of Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate or Clinical Professor, available immediately.
Position responsibilities include:
  • Program administration
  • Didactic and clinical teaching to post-graduate residents and predoctoral students
  • Development of scholarly activities

The successful candidate may participate in the faculty practice.
The Department of Orthodontics provides training for orthodontic residents and dental students. Our department offers a full range of orthodontic services, including interceptive, comprehensive, and multidisciplinary orthodontic care tailored to patients of all age groups.

Minimum Qualifications
  • DDS, DMD or equivalent degree
  • Graduate of a CODA accredited advanced education program in orthodontics.
  • Board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics
  • 2 years of experience teaching post-graduate residents and a record of scholarly activity

Preferred Qualifications
  • Eligible for licensure in New York State
  • MS or PhD
  • Prior leadership in post-graduate programs such as course director or lecturer for predoctoral and postdoctoral students
  • Participation in national and international professional and scientific organizations
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
