HTSACC Program Assistant - Early Birds & After School Kids
10 month Position (September-June)
Part Time - Hourly Wage
Effective: September 1, 2026
The Hanover Township Public Schools is seeking dynamic, dependable, and enthusiastic Program Assistants to assist in the day-to-day operations of Early Birds and/or After School Kids. This role focuses on supporting children's social and emotional well being, supervising activities, and helping to maintain a structured and engaging environment.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with school-age children, preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, children, and families.
  • Ability to supervise groups of children in a structured and active environment.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safety, supervision, and well-being of children by maintaining active supervision and following all safety and emergency procedures.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
  • Lead and support engaging activities that promote participation, learning, and social development.
  • Utilize positive discipline and conflict resolution strategies to support children's individual needs.
  • Follow all program policies, procedures, and operational expectations, including attendance tracking, documentation, and child accountability.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, initiative, flexibility, and reliability while serving as a positive role model for children and staff.

Hourly Wage Range : $17.00 - $25.00
