Job description

Embark on a fulfilling career with Lincoln Tech! We areseeking a Director of Student Services. Become the cornerstone of our students' journey from enrollment to graduation, fostering a supportive environment for success. As the bridge between students and various school departments, you'll develop processes and activities that enhance retention and promote student success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of student advising experience
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to evaluate and develop student success plans based on student needs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Education and Campus President in maintaining a positive educational environment and follows up on student concerns and complaints
  • Serve as the first point of contact for student concerns and dissatisfaction while maintaining the policies and standards set forth by the campus
  • Help oversee activities related to improving student retention (e.g., Perfect Attendance/Academic Excellence recognition). Develops, attends, and/or participates in student events. Helps ensure that all absent students are contacted immediately
  • Assist with the distribution and collection of the mid-course and end-of-course student satisfaction, Campus President, and graduate surveys
  • Analyze reports and provide feedback to campus management
  • Work with the Registrar to ensure that student grades and attendance are entered into the student management system database
  • Report items of interest or concern to the Director of Education and/or Campus President, including status change(s), student roster(s), and population report(s) on a regular basis. Initiates student status change forms
  • Ensure all aspects of the enrollment completion process for each student are done prior to term start. This includes, but is not limited to, verification that students' textbooks and courses materials have been ordered and received; verification that student has been enrolled in proper courses; and verification that the student is aware of term start date and all other necessary student enrollment completion process components.
  • Work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend work
