Primary Purpose:
Provide operational leadership for the district's Student Information Systems (SIS) and Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) functions by coordinating daily data operations, supervising assigned staff, and ensuring the integrity, compliance, and timely reporting of student information. This position serves as the primary operational leader for special program data coordination, campus support, and state reporting activities while implementing district procedures established by the Director of Student Information Systems. The Coordinator collaborates with campus and district leadership to ensure accurate data governance, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred. Applicable years of service may substitute for the degree requirement.
  • High School diploma required
  • TASBO Certification (CTSBO, CTSBS, RTSBA, or willingness to obtain) preferred

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Extensive knowledge of:
  • PEIMS Data Standards (TWEDS)
  • Student Attendance Accounting Handbook (SAAH)
  • Texas Education Agency reporting requirements
  • Special Program PEIMS coding
  • Student Information Systems (Skyward Qmlativ preferred)
  • Student enrollment, attendance, scheduling, grading, and discipline processes
  • Data auditing methodologies
  • Report writing and data analysis
  • Project coordination
  • Staff supervision and coaching
  • Professional development design and delivery
  • Customer service and collaborative problem solving

Ability to:
  • Interpret state and federal reporting requirements
  • Analyze complex data and recommend corrective action
  • Coordinate multiple district reporting timelines simultaneously

Experience:
  • Minimum five years experience in PEIMS, student information systems, or student data management
  • Minimum three years experience coordinating state reporting, compliance, or campus operations
  • Supervisory or lead experience preferred
