Position:    Student Success Coach (1)

Beginning: August 2026

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic, student-centered Success Coach to join our High School Alternative Pathways program. This role will work closely with the general education teacher and special education teacher to ensure all students thrive in a flexible, personalized learning environment. The ideal candidate will foster relationships, leverage technology, and empower students toward independence and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the general education teacher and special education teacher to support both academic and behavioral goals for students.
  • Collaborate with local businesses, non-profit organizations, and families, to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application.
  • Collaborate with families, helping them stay informed about student progress, and create pathways for family engagement.
  • Assist students in navigating both in-person and online coursework, offering technical support for digital platforms and learning tools.
  • Use technology to personalize instruction, track student progress, and provide real-time feedback.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students, creating a safe environment where students feel heard, valued, and motivated.
  • Provide individualized support and mentoring to help students develop independence, organization, and goal-setting skills.
  • Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and assist in data collection of  IEP goals
  • Facilitate regular check-ins with students, providing consistent follow-up and accountability.
  • Support students in developing digital literacy skills critical for success in online learning environments.
  • Engage in professional development to stay current with alternative education practices, technology tools, and student success strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in education, social work, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working with high school students, especially in alternative education settings.
  • Strong knowledge of IEPs, 504 plans, and individualized instruction strategies.
  • Proficiency with educational technology, online learning platforms, and digital tools to support student success.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build trust and rapport with diverse students.
  • Ability to provide consistent follow-through and accountability, helping students set and achieve goals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student success in an alternative education
