Community Engagement Coordinator, Office of Student Life
Job no: 493485
Work type: Professional hourly
Location: Norman

Pay Range: Targeted Salary of $20.67 per hour, based on experience
Benefits Eligible: Yes
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Travel: Not required
Position Introduction:
The Community Engagement Coordinator of Student Life is responsible for fostering a commitment to student success by actively developing, implementing, and maintaining programs and services that enrich student learning, build and maintain a strong sense of community, and support the educational, professional, social, and personal development of students at the University of Oklahoma. This position will work with the Community Engagement functional unit within Student Life to help students as they navigate through involvement and engagement while at OU and will advise registered student organizations on campus.
  • Serving as the primary advisor for the Black Student Association and secondary support advisor to all departmental student groups advised by Student Life.

  • Bachelor's degree.

Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of equivalent experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
Department Preferences:
  • Master's degree in higher education administration, student affairs or a related field.
  • 0-24 months of experience.
  • Experience with first generation student engagement/programming.
