Location: North Las Vegas Campus
Work Hours per week: up to 20.0
Hourly Rate of Pay: $14.00
What our office does: This office assists students in one stop shop to help students succeed. This position will help students gain knowledge of the college by giving information to peers. They will also sharpen their interaction skills by talking to students about their studies and progress in their classes. They will learn how to work in a professional environment where we will help them polish their academic skills and work retention skills in any field of study.
Position Description
This position aids our students and staff by completing the following duties:
  • Answering and transferring calls on multi-line phone
  • Retrieving and responding to voicemails
  • Filing paperwork, data entry, and archiving old files
  • Assisting walk-in students
  • Helping manage appointments
  • Participating and assisting in campus events
  • Additional duties as assigned

Work Experience in our Department supports the following Degree/Certificate Programs: Communications, Global Studies, Hospitality Management, International Studies, Psychology, Sociology, Concierge Management Certificate/degree programs that result in employment where office and customer service skills will be required. List the certificate/degree programs for which employment in your department would provide helpful experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Current TRIO participant. General knowledge of CSN. Be friendly, outgoing, and willing to learn; have a good understanding of diverse multicultural environments; be able to follow directions and communicate well; have knowledge of Microsoft Office systems; be punctual, reliable, and trustworthy.
