Job description

Cabrera Capital Markets (CCM) is a premier investment bank and institutional brokerage firm, serving global corporations, municipalities, pension funds, and private equity firms. The Taxable Fixed Income division helps clients navigate today’s complex fixed-income landscape, offering deep expertise across our core products, which include rates, credit and structured products. The TFI team prioritizes both high-touch and low-touch trading solutions, ensuring clients receive dedicated, tailored services without marketplace disruption. Leveraging our extensive industry network, we provide timely, accurate information and superior trade execution. This is a 100% commission-based position.

The candidate will join our structured  products sales and trading team and  be able to add  value to a book of institutional accounts utilizing our platform. Highlights of the Cabrera structured products platform include:

  • Provide liquidity in MBS TBA
  • Structure new issue CMOs
  • Participate in new issue ABS deals
  • Participate in new issue agency CMBS and DUS TBA
  • Active in all aspects of SP secondary trading
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant Fixed Income/Structured Products experience
  • Must have Active Series 7 and 63 FINRA licenses
  • Effectively engage and maintain coverage of Tier I through Tier 3 buy-side institutional clients for structured product in both primary and secondary markets
  • Generate reverse inquiry to drive primary issuance
  • Responsible for 750K+ in annual revenues
  • Maintains a client book in which >50% are Tier 2 and Tier 3 accounts
  • Facilitates and promotes TFI sales/trading activity by effectively interacting with Traders, Bankers, and Clients
  • Regularly arrange client meetings to cultivate business relationships
  • Effectively participates in conference calls, meetings, and other communications with clients
  • Adept at trouble-shooting client situations, providing suitable solutions to client questions and resolving problems in a timely manner
  • Attend various events to support clients
  • Advanced comprehension of the fixed income markets and structured products securities
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Strong quantitative and financial technology skills (Bloomberg, Excel, Yieldbook)
  • Detail-oriented and ability to juggle multiple tasks
  • Demonstrates sound judgement and ability to work independently
  • All other duties as assigned
