Job description

Industrial Technology Services of Chesterfield is seeking an experienced structural fabricator. Must be experienced in the custom metal manufacturing trade and be able to demonstrate welding capabilities. We are seeking a structural metal fabricator who can construct high quality structural products, (e.g. platforms, robot cages, catwalks, high beams, columns, steel tanks, and silos) to customer specifications. Job Summary:

Responsible for the fabrication of safe structural steel and plate fabricated products. Other skills include interpretation of blueprints, drawings, and other written and verbal instructions.

Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:

- Able to follow Industrial Technology Services policies and procedures and lead by example

- Diligent in ensuring a zero-accident philosophy is incorporated into all aspects of construction operations

- Adhere to all quality and safety codes

- Fabricate steel structures

- Read and interpret blueprints and sketches

- Complete preventative maintenance

- Ensure working environment is clean and safe

- The use of fabrication tools such as drills, shears, presses, and precision measuring tools

Job Qualifications:

- Must have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in the custom metal manufacturing trade

- Must be able to read blueprints and engineering fabrication drawings

- High school diploma/GED required

- Excellent hand/eye coordination

- Must be able to read measurements and use basic math skills

- Ability to meet challenging deadlines in an efficient manner

- Current valid divers license with a clean driving record

- Previous or current welding certifications

Physical Requirements of Position:

- Required to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., sit, bend, and stoop and use fine motor skills

- Possess the ability to work skillfully with both hands constantly
