Job description

Senior Structural Engineer
Join a multidisciplinary architecture and engineering team designing technically complex facilities that support healthcare, research, life sciences, higher education, corporate, and advanced technology clients. This leadership-level role offers the opportunity to oversee structural engineering design from concept through construction, mentor junior engineers, collaborate directly with clients, and contribute to some of the industry's most challenging and innovative building projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead structural engineering efforts on complex new construction and renovation projects from schematic design through construction administration.
- Develop, review, and oversee structural calculations, design documents, models, and construction drawings.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure fully integrated project delivery.
- Serve as the primary structural engineering contact for clients, providing technical guidance and participating in project presentations.
- Manage project schedules, work plans, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution.
- Conduct site visits, field investigations, and construction administration activities as required.
- Mentor and support Structural Designers and Project Structural Engineers while promoting technical excellence across teams.
- Assist senior leadership with quality assurance reviews, project planning, staffing discussions, and business development initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or related Engineering discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum 10 years of structural engineering experience within the building design industry.
- Strong experience leading structural engineering projects from design through construction.
- Proficiency with Revit, CAD software, and structural analysis platforms such as RAM, STAAD, or similar finite element analysis tools.
- Experience preparing construction documents, specifications, engineering reports, and structural calculations.
