Job description

Structural Engineer Project Manager-Dallas, TX, Austin, TX, New Orleans, LA or Lafayette, LA (Hybrid)

Responsibilities:

Project

  • Executes and/or manages the team’s structural engineering tasks for each project
  • Leads the development of structural drawings, Revit models and reports, and insures that the project team is correctly applying building code provisions and interpreting material design standards
  • Maintains awareness of the production schedule for assigned projects
  • Reviews completed tasks at key intervals for accuracy and completeness
  • Performs and/or manages the team’s administration tasks during the construction of projects
  • Manages communications with other disciplines and project team members to ensure overall project coordination
  • Participates in team and company-wide meetings to discuss project issues, coordination with other disciplines, and technical issues

  • Performs work in a manner that demonstrates an appreciation for the firm’s cultural values, including a commitment to quality, innovation, learning and respect for co-workers and colleagues
  • Skilled in fostering and maintaining a collaborative professional working relationship with the project team

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Accredited BS or MS degree in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering
  • Active Professional Engineering license (Texas preferred)
  • Proficiency with structural analysis software, such as Bentley, Adapt and Enercalc
  • 10+ yrs of structural building design experience
  • Experience with Revit preferred but not required
  • Ability and desire to train and mentor EIT’s and other engineers
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to problem solve and collaborate on innovative solutions
  • Ability to work in team environment
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines at expected quality

Location: Hybrid position out of Austin, TX, Dallas, TX, New Orleans, LA or Lafayette, LA (Hybrid)

Travel: Some travel to out of town projects or meetings may be required.
