- Manage projects and communicate with clients, technical drafting staff, and others outside the project team
- Prepare preliminary designs for clients
- Review building codes to assure proper implementation in design
- Attend client meetings, coordinate with construction project managers, architect, civil, and mechanical engineers
- Produce structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents as well as construction
- Produce construction ready design drawings coordinated with all disciplines to assure completeness and accuracy
- Manage construction administration tasks such as shop drawing review, RFI responses, and coordination with the construction teams
- BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering
- 5+ years of structural engineering building design experience, ideally with some experience in large-scale commercial and/or data center projects
- Ability to prepare structural designs for steel, concrete, masonry, light gage steel, and understanding of foundation design
- Proficiency using Revit independently to create construction level structural drawings is required
- Knowledge of analysis and design programs such as RAM Structural System, SAP2000, RISA, or another recognized 3D design packages preferred
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure, or ability to obtain within 6 months
