Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Haltom City, Texas, TRP Construction Group is a leading provider of safety-critical and highly regulated roadway marking and traffic control solutions primarily to state and local government end-customers, whom it serves either directly or through general contractors. TRP's core offering focuses on recurring maintenance projects to maintain the safety of America's roadways. The Company has operations in Texas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, and Arkansas.
We are currently seeking an experienced General Mechanic to join our team at a large and growing highway line striping company based in Houston, Texas.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience maintaining and repairing diesel trucks, striping equipment, small engines, and hydraulic systems. This role supports field operations by ensuring our fleet and equipment remain safe, reliable, and job-ready.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities Include:
Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on trucks, striping machines, and related equipment
Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
Work closely with operations to minimize equipment downtime
Keep a clean, organized, and orderly shop and work area at all times
Preferred Qualifications:
Mechanical experience with heavy equipment or fleet vehicles
Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Self-motivated individual who takes initiative and requires minimal supervision
Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus
