Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center is located in the heart of Roslyn, NY. Our facility is recognized by U.S News & World Report as a national leader for Cardiology and Open Heart surgery as well as ranked 6th in New York State.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for highly acute and critical patients.
  • Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending Physicians, APPs, registered nurses/RNs and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.

Requirements

  • Passion for the Emergency Department Unit
  • 1+ years of experience in telemetry with ability to interpret cardiac rhythms  
  • Experience reading cardia monitors
  • Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
  • Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) required from the American Heart Association

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
