Ellington High School is seeking a motivated and dependable Assistant Cheerleading Coach to support the continued growth and success of the cheerleading program. The assistant coach will work closely with the head coach to provide instruction, supervision, and leadership for student-athletes during practices, games, competitions, and team events.
Responsibilities include assisting with practice planning, skill development, stunt progression, choreography, conditioning, game-day preparation, and overall team organization. The assistant coach will help promote a positive team culture built on safety, accountability, sportsmanship, commitment, and school pride.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of cheerleading skills, safety expectations, and team-based instruction. Prior coaching or cheerleading experience is preferred. The candidate must demonstrate strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to serve as a positive role model for student-athletes.
All candidates must meet district and CIAC coaching requirements prior to the start of the season.
