Job description

Litigation Attorney – Defense

Location: San Diego, CA (Fully Remote – Southern California Residents Only)
Practice Area: Insurance Defense - Construction Defect
Experience Level: 7+ Years
Compensation: Based on Experience + Bonus Eligibility
Billable Requirement: 1980 Hours/Year


Overview:
We are partnered with a well-regarded litigation firm is seeking a skilled Mid to Senior-Level Attorney with a strong background in insurance defense. This is a fully remote position limited to candidates residing in Southern California, with occasional in-person attendance required.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage a caseload of complex insurance defense matters

  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence

  • Represent clients at depositions, hearings, and trials as needed

  • Provide case strategy and regular updates to clients and carriers

  • Collaborate with partners and staff in a remote environment


Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active California bar license

  • Minimum 7 years of civil litigation experience, with an emphasis on insurance defense preferred

  • Strong legal writing, communication, and analytical skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently

  • Must reside in Southern California
