Job description

Job Summary

The Enterprise Business Operations team, embedded within the Office of the CEO, partners with senior leaders across NetApp's business units and enterprise functions, including Operations, IT, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Product, and HR, to drive cross-functional strategic priorities, operational excellence, and faster, data-driven decision-making. We are growing our next-generation Strategy & Operations function that combines business rigor with AI-enabled execution.

A key focus of the team is leading NetApp's AI@Work transformation: helping more than 15,000 employees leverage AI to work smarter, modernize legacy workflows, and unlock new levels of productivity across the company. Our mission is to accelerate NetApp's AI productivity flywheel by identifying high-value opportunities, scaling successful use cases, and embedding AI into the way we operate. This is a unique opportunity for an early-career professional who combines strong business fundamentals with a passion for technology and AI.  You will work directly on high-impact initiatives, collaborate with senior executives, and help shape how NetApp uses AI to improve decision-making, operational effectiveness, and business outcomes.

What You'll Do

Strategic Analysis & Problem Solving

  • Support strategic and operational initiatives across NetApp's business and corporate functions.
  • Identify opportunities for AI-driven transformation through industry benchmarking, internal discovery programs, and grassroots innovation across the company.
  • Evaluate business problems, quantify opportunities, and help prioritize AI initiatives based on impact, feasibility, compliance requirements, and strategic alignment.
  • Develop executive-ready presentations, business cases, dashboards, ROI frameworks, and KPI definitions that measure AI value and accelerate adoption across the enterprise.

AI & Business Transformation

  • Identify opportunities to redesign business processes using AI, automation, and workflow transformation.
  • Build dashboards, reports, and lightweight AI-enabled solutions that improve productivity, visibility, and decision-making across the AI@Work portfolio.
  • Help define, track, and report on AI use cases, success metrics, adoption KPIs, and value-realization outcomes.
  • Partner with functional AI Centers of Excellence, IT, Legal, Security, and business stakeholders to ensure initiatives are executed effectively, remain compliant, and evolve with changing business needs.

Executive Communications & Program Management

  • Translate complex analyses into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leaders and executive teams.
  • Create compelling dashboards, visualizations, presentations, and executive updates that communicate progress, risks, business value, and key decisions.
  • Support cross-functional programs from strategy through execution by tracking milestones, managing stakeholder alignment, monitoring outcomes, and driving accountability across workstreams.

AI Innovation & Team Effectiveness

  • Continuously identify new ways to leverage AI tools, agents, and emerging technologies to increase the effectiveness of the Strategy & Operations team.
  • Experiment with and rapidly adopt new AI capabilities that improve research, analysis, content creation, decision support, and knowledge sharing.
  • Help establish the team as a best-in-class example of AI-enabled work by embedding AI into everyday processes and workflows.
  • Operate with a startup mindset, finding ways for a lean team to deliver outsized impact, scale influence, and increase organizational effectiveness through technology and automation.
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience in strategy, business operations, consulting, analytics, finance, corporate strategy, or a related field.
  • Strong academic credentials from a leading undergraduate or graduate program with a demonstrated record of achievement.
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights, actionable recommendations, and executive-ready narratives.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and business audiences.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to improve productivity, analysis, research, content creation, or decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to build lightweight AI agents, copilots, dashboards, and visualizations using structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Strong proficiency with AI platforms and tools such as Microsoft Copilot studio, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Gemini Vertex, and related technologies.
  • Proven ability to rapidly learn new technologies, evaluate emerging capabilities, and apply them to solve business challenges.

Preferred

  • Experience in management consulting, enterprise software, technology, business transformation, or high-growth operating environments.
  • Experience building dashboards, visualizations, and business insights using AI-powered analytics tools across multiple data sources.
  • Exposure to workflow automation, low-code/no-code platforms, SQL, Python, APIs, or related technologies.
  • Experience applying AI to improve business processes, reporting, communications, knowledge management, or operational efficiency.
  • Strong executive storytelling skills with the ability to transform data into compelling narratives and decision-ready recommendations.
  • Demonstrated curiosity for emerging technologies and a track record of experimenting with and adopting new tools to create business impact.

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is $88,400 - $131,560 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package.
