Zayo is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Strategy & Operations Associate to join our Commercial Strategy & Operations team in a part time capacity (20 hours per week). This is an entry-level role focused on supporting the execution of the Commercial organization's cadence and contributing to key strategic and operational initiatives.
In this role, you will build foundational skills in business operations, data analysis, and cross functional collaboration while gaining exposure to how strategic decisions are developed and executed. This position is designed for early-career individuals who are eager to learn, take ownership of assigned tasks, and develop into future strategy and operations professionals.
This is a part time position - 20 hours per week
Responsibilities:
Commercial Operations Management
  • Support the coordination of recurring Commercial operating cadence (e.g., staff meeting, business reviews, etc.), preparing agendas, organizing materials, and tracking follow-ups.
  • Assist in improving meeting process and internal workflows to increase efficiency and consistency.
  • Maintain documentation of action items, key decisions, and meeting outputs to ensure visibility and accountability.

Strategic Initiative Management
  • Support the creation and maintenance of project plans, timelines, and status updates for Commercial initiatives.
  • Coordinate across cross-functional partners (e.g., Product, Sales, Marketing) to gather inputs and track progress against deliverables.
  • Assisting the documenting processes, tracking KPIs, and supporting continuous improvement efforts.

Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Maintain and update dashboards and reoccurring reports, ensuring data accuracy and timeliness.
  • Conduct basic data analysis to identify trends and support decision-making.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (completed or in progress) in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field.
  • Zero to two (0-2) years of professional experience; internship or co-op experience in consulting, finance, operations, or a fast-paced business environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel - formulas, pivot tables, and basic data analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willing to learn, take initiative, ask good questions, and follow through on assigned work.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Internship or project experience in consulting, operations, finance, or related field.
  • Exposure data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau or PowerBI).
  • Experience supporting presentations, reports, and structured analyses.

Estimated Base Pay Range: $22.36-$34.42 USD/hour.
The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.
Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.
The posting will be active for a minimum of 3 days. The active posting will continue to extend by 3 days until the position is filled.
