Job description

The Growth Strategy & Ops Manager

The Growth Strategy & Ops Manager will play an active role in designing and implementing SCAN's national sales strategies across all channels, products, and markets. This position will work closely with the Chief Growth Officer and VP of Growth Strategy & Ops to plan for multiple sales seasons, including Annual Enrollment Period (AEP), as well as establish a data-driven sales performance management function.


You will

  • Collaborate with the Chief Commercial Officer, Chief Growth Officer, VP of Growth Strategy & Ops, as well as other cross-functional teams (e.g. Corporate Strategy, Marketing) on establishing our long-term sales strategies to enable growth (e.g. channel diversification, population-specific products).

  • Conduct industry research / due diligence to support the creation of sales strategies.

  • Engage cross-functionally with leaders over sales production teams, Marketing, Digital Strategy, Product, Network, and other departments to create and execute against a tailored plan for each sales season: Annual Enrollment Period (AEP), Open Enrollment Period, and Lock-In.

  • Lead and project manage the Sales workstream of new market and product launches.

  • Lead and project manage our annual AEP War Room, a highly-visible, cross-functional workgroup designed to enable swift pivots and execution during AEP.

  • Collaborate with sales production leaders to identify leading key performance indicators for each team / channel / market / product and establish a robust sales performance management infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with data and finance teams to design sales enablement and performance dashboards.

  • Collaborate with channel-based sales production leaders, Procurement, and IT to identify and implement tools (build, partner, vs buy) needed to maximize sales performance.

  • Partner with Finance to forecast annual sales projections.

  • Support in preparing for executive presentations (Board meetings, Executive Leadership Team meetings, various steering committee meetings, etc).

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.

  • 6 years of experience in healthcare management consulting, sales strategy & ops, corporate strategy, commercial strategy, venture capital, or private equity preferred.

  • Experience with healthcare payers and / or Medicare Advantage

  • Experience with project and / or plan implementation, managing multiple stakeholders with different priorities and moving a cross-functional team towards the same goal in terms of execution

  • Ability to collect, organize and analyze complex data at a macro and micro level with the goal of making structured, data-driven decisions in an ambiguous strategic context

  • Ability to collaborate across all levels, proactively seeking stakeholders' inputs and exploring a wide range of options before deciding / acting

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

  • Proven track record of effectively managing multiple large-scale, diverse, and complex projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to excel in an ambiguous environment, flexing to new priorities

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders across all levels of the organization, both in-person and virtually

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking capability and planning for short and long-range goals required

  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively convey information in a clear and concise manner; strong presentation skills
