Pattern is currently seeking a results-driven Manager of Strategy. The Manager of Strategy will serve as an execution partner and support to the Chief Growth Officer & Chief of Staff, operationalizing strategic direction and executing high-priority, cross-functional initiatives that advance Pattern's long-term growth objectives. This role blends strategy execution, organizational transformation, M&A assessment and integration support, and program/project leadership in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
This individual will be responsible for transforming strategic direction into structured plans, managing complex work streams, and ensuring momentum across critical initiatives such as acquisitions and integrations, annual planning (OKRs), and enterprise-wide growth initiatives and programs. This is a player-coach individual contributor role that requires strong collaboration with functional leaders and the broader Pattern team across Product, Finance, Operations (Commercial & Logistics), Technology, and Marketing.
This full-time role is based in Lehi, UT, with a flexible hybrid schedule.
What is a day in the life of the Manager of Strategy?
  • Strategy Execution & Cross-Functional Leadership:
  • Translate executive strategy into structured roadmaps, operating plans, and execution frameworks.
  • Partner with CGO/CoS to lead complex, cross-functional strategic initiatives ensuring coordinated execution from concept through delivery.
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and resource needs across initiatives.

  • Program & Project Management:
  • Own program governance, workback schedules, and execution discipline across major initiatives.
  • Partner with technical and commercial teams on project planning and delivery.
  • Drive accountability through structured workflows, reporting, and communications.

  • Mergers, Acquisitions & Integration Support:
  • Partner with the Chief Growth Officer and Global Head of M&A on M&A diligence, integration planning, and post-acquisition execution.
  • Own and manage day to day integration work streams across operations, technology, finance, product, and go-to-market.
  • Track integration milestones, synergies, risks, and value-creation progress over extended timelines.

  • Communications & External Materials:
  • Execute the CGO/CoS vision through developing structured and polished PowerPoint presentations for board-level and executive external audiences, brand partners, and industry conferences and Pattern-hosted events.
  • Translate complex strategies, data, and initiatives into clear, compelling executive narratives.
  • Communicates with confidence and clarity.
  • Handles sensitive, high-stakes initiatives with discretion and professionalism.

  • Annual Planning, OKRs, & Operating Rhythm:
  • Lead strategic planning processes in support of annual OKR setting and enterprise initiatives.
  • Track execution progress, ensure follow-ups, manage timelines, and support cadence of reviews.
  • Maintains visibility into initiative health, signals risks, and supports positive outcomes through proactive engagement with the team.

What will I need to thrive in this role?
  • 5-8+ years of progressive experience in strategy, consulting, commercial operations, corporate development, program leadership, or a related field.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional strategic initiatives in fast-growth or complex organizations.
  • Advanced PowerPoint / executive presentation expertise with a strong track record of building board-level and external-facing materials.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and structured delivery methodologies.
  • Experience supporting annual planning, OKRs, and/or enterprise or commercial operating rhythms.
  • Highly organized with exceptional ability to manage multiple parallel work streams.
  • Working M&A and post-merger integration experience with hands-on execution responsibility.
  • Working knowledge of core P&L concepts.
  • Experience leading and managing teams.
  • Comfortable operating independently with limited structure while maintaining tight coordination with leadership.

  • Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Background in e-commerce, digital commerce, retail, or marketplaces.
  • Experience working with or alongside product, engineering, or technical teams.
