Job description

Senior Director, Strategy

The Senior Director, Strategy leads the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic projects that are critical to the Company's success. This role is aligned to and deployed across high-priority initiatives, including client engagements, investor-related work, and enterprise strategic planning efforts. The position is responsible for developing high-quality executive presentations and materials to support key decision-making and communications, planning and coordinating work across multiple cross-functional teams, and owning or contributing to company financial models. In addition, the Senior Director leads and supports regular status updates to senior executives, applying deep healthcare industry expertise to identify, evaluate, and solve complex business challenges. This role builds alignment across stakeholders and secures leadership buy-in to drive prioritization and successful execution of strategic initiatives, requiring a high degree of analytical rigor, executive presence, and the ability to influence across the organization. This position will report to the VP, Strategic Initiatives within the Office of the Chief Strategy Officer. This role will be located in either Brentwood, TN or Tempe, AZ.

Responsibilities

  • Build high-quality, executive-level presentations and communication materials to support critical presentations and meetings
  • Contribute to company financial models, in partnership with the finance organization
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (e.g., IT, Operations, HR, Finance) to plan and implement strategic initiatives while maintaining a strong commitment to exceptional, patient-centric service delivery in alignment with Monogram's care model
  • Process-focused and decisive, ensuring effective execution of all strategies/initiatives to meet organizational needs with a high standard of excellence, urgency and predictability
  • Develop and own the business case, financial pro-forma, KPI development and accompanying materials throughout the strategic initiative process
  • Prepare and deliver regular updates, presentations, and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Lead business development initiatives and core growth efforts as needed
  • Manage and support external partner relationships as required by specific initiatives
  • Proactively engage internal stakeholders, including clinical operations, IT, revenue cycle, analytics, legal/compliance, finance, and HR, to drive outcomes and ensure preparedness for deadlines
  • Navigate operational challenges with sound judgment, problem-solving skills, and persistence
  • Participate in interviewing, hiring, orientation, onboarding, and recurring training of staff

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MPH) strongly preferred
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in healthcare, including a minimum of 3 years in strategic finance, corporate strategy, corporate development, or related functions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex presentation or content development processes, including planning, driving cross-functional accountability, clearly assigning responsibilities, following up on deliverables, and appropriately escalating to minimize delays
  • Deep understanding of the healthcare system, including how entities such as payers, PBMs, pharmacies, hospitals, community providers, and home-based providers interact; including knowledge of care delivery models, revenue generation, reimbursement structures, and the end-to-end process from care delivery through payment
  • Advanced PowerPoint expertise required, including the ability to develop polished, client- and executive-ready presentations that communicate complex information clearly and effectively
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to enhance productivity, including prompt development and workflow integration
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities required
  • Business case development skills, including research, problem identification, solution design, operational planning, financial modeling, and risk/mitigation planning
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, private equitybacked or high-growth healthcare environment, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Comfortable with frequent interaction and presentation to senior leadership
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity by developing structured approaches, recommendations, and actionable next steps to maintain momentum and drive outcomes
  • Communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills across all levels of the organization
