Job description

Job Summary
This is a unique opportunity to make an impact on Gartner's product strategy and operational execution of best practices as a member of the Global Product Management (GPM) Leadership team. This role will be responsible for leading high impact product management and development initiatives spanning multiple lines of business by working in collaboration with other members of the GPM Leadership team. This role will also help to refine, iterate, and improve operational practices, programs, and ways of working across GPM to increase impact and efficiency.
As an individual contributor role with potential for growth, this role will partner closely with the leader of GPM, the GPM leadership team, and other members of the organization to solve complex and high impact problems in cross-functional teams.
What you'll do:
  • Partner closely with GPM leadership to ensure a common understanding of portfolio strategy, bright spots, opportunity areas, and action plans to improve performance and drive double digit contract value growth
  • Work on product initiatives to standardize, streamline, and improve the product portfolio strategies across GTS and GBS
  • Proactively identify performance challenges as they arise by regularly reviewing business results and facilitating discussions with stakeholders; lead problem solving to identify root causes / remedial actions, supporting the GPM leadership team members
  • Identify opportunities to improve bandwidth and effectiveness of the GPM leadership team to achieve and deliver on the growth strategy through focused discussions, enhanced decision making, clear agreed priorities and outcomes
  • Work closely with the GPM SVP on high leverage initiatives to improve team effectiveness and impact Partner with leaders across the business on strategy projects, operational initiatives, and performance improvement programs
  • Develop and present regular updates to key stakeholders and senior executives, including the GPM Leadership team, CEO and other Operating Committee members
  • Monitor business performance to ensure growth and profitability targets are achieved
  • Assist with annual financial budgeting processes and identify opportunities to improve operational processes around staffing by working with HR and Talent Acquisition teams.

What you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree required with preference toward quantitative area of study; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive business experience, 5+ years of product strategy / product management experience; B2B information services experience preferred
  • Background in Management and/or Strategy Consulting preferred
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written (e.g., PowerPoint), including experience effectively presenting to senior C-level executives
  • Track record of solving client problems with technology-based solutions
  • Excellent understanding of business economics, and track record of using economic impacts to drive decision making.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders to ensure everyone feels heard and is aligned on both challenges and potential solutions
  • Experience with market research, market opportunity sizing, market segmentation, pricing, creating value propositions, communications and training programs
  • Commercial acumen and experience in working with Sales; building business cases and getting buy-in from senior leadership
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative business analytics, including ability to turn quantitative analysis into actionable recommendations with measurable business impact; high-level proficiency with MS Office Suite and ability to interpret PowerBI reporting
  • Ability to lead/influence cross-functional teams across all levels of the organization and work collaboratively in a matrixed environment
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, and operate effectively in ambiguous situations
  • Be able to build, measure and learn iteratively (Growth Mindset. Can-do mentality)
  • A bias for action, including balancing tradeoffs, a willingness to roll up their sleeves and do what it takes to get things done
  • Ability to work in a culture that thrives on feedback and seeks opportunities to stretch outside your comfort zone

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 164,000 USD - 226,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
