Job description

AFC Industries is a dynamic organization dedicated to providing supply chain management solutions for fasteners and assembly components to original equipment manufacturers, assembly plants, and other users of these products.

We support a diverse industry base of manufacturers across a broad range of industries. Our experienced team has a proven track record of helping manufacturers and assemblers reduce cost, improve quality, and increase efficiency.

We are A Company Culture Devoted to Innovation & Improvement

AFC provides localized expertise to customers in particular industries and geographies. We don't have a traditional hierarchical management structure where everyone simply "reports up." Instead, our company is made up of on-the-ground experts operating in an entrepreneurial fashion with the backing and support of an enterprise-grade organization.

Sharing cultural values breeds consistency and quality throughout our organization. Collectively, we are committed to a simple management approach, which influences our company culture and our management style.

Position Summary

AFC Industries is seeking a Commercial Growth Manager to help drive strategic sales growth initiatives across its Components, Tooling, and Aerospace & Defense business segments.

This role serves as a key link between sales, marketing, operations, and business leadership to improve commercial execution, strengthen market positioning, and support growth initiatives across North America.

The ideal candidate is commercially minded, highly organized, and capable of turning strategy into execution. This is not a traditional marketing role focused primarily on digital campaigns or creative development. Instead, this role focuses on helping AFC grow through stronger sales enablement, business unit alignment, customer-facing programs, and market-focused commercial initiatives.

This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role within a fast-moving industrial distribution and manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Growth Initiatives

  • Support strategic growth initiatives across AFC's Components, Tooling, and Aerospace & Defense segments
  • Partner with business unit leaders and sales leadership to identify growth opportunities, target markets, and commercial priorities
  • Assist in developing vertical market campaigns and customer-focused growth programs
  • Help identify cross-selling opportunities across AFC business units and acquired companies
  • Support commercialization efforts related to acquisitions, new capabilities, and strategic initiatives

Sales Enablement & Commercial Support

  • Develop and maintain sales presentations, customer-facing materials, case studies, and strategic account tools
  • Support Strategic Business Reviews (SBRs) and major customer presentations
  • Build segment-specific messaging and sales tools aligned to customer pain points and operational value
  • Improve consistency and accessibility of commercial materials across the organization
  • Coordinate support for trade shows, customer visits, and commercial meetings

Market Intelligence & Commercial Insights

  • Conduct market, customer, and competitive research to support growth initiatives
  • Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities within key manufacturing verticals
  • Help translate CRM and marketing data into actionable commercial insights
  • Support account targeting and whitespace identification efforts

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with sales, marketing, operations, and executive leadership teams
  • Help align messaging, commercial priorities, and growth initiatives across business units
  • Coordinate execution of strategic commercial programs from concept through launch
  • Assist with internal communication initiatives tied to commercial strategy and growth

Qualifications

Preferred Experience

  • 4-8 years of experience in commercial marketing, business development, sales enablement, or related commercial roles
  • Experience within industrial distribution, manufacturing, tooling, fasteners, aerospace, or technical B2B industries strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting sales organizations and customer-facing commercial initiatives
  • Familiarity with CRM and marketing platforms such as HubSpot, or similar systems

Desired Skills

  • Strong commercial and business acumen
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable collaborating with sales leaders and operational teams
  • Ability to simplify complex topics into customer-focused messaging
  • Self-starter capable of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong presentation and project coordination skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify commercial opportunities from data and trends

What Success Looks Like

  • Stronger alignment between sales, marketing, and business unit leadership
  • Improved consistency and effectiveness of customer-facing commercial materials
  • Increased support and engagement from sales teams
  • Better execution of strategic growth initiatives across AFC segments
  • Stronger cross-selling handoffs and market penetration opportunities
  • Faster commercialization of acquisitions and new capabilities
  • More focused and coordinated go-to-market execution across the organization
