Hospitality Purveyors International (HPI) is the exclusive design and procurement arm for all Sandals and Beaches Resorts International properties which are wholly owned and managed resorts.

About the Position

The Strategic Sourcing Coordinator serves as a key support function for the Category Team, working closely with category managers to drive sourcing initiatives and leading end-to-end supplier management. The incumbent will own supplier registration, supplier performance management, preferred vendor administration, and contract management, while supporting pricing initiatives, vendor bidding and selection processes, vendor evaluation, program pricing, and responses to sourcing requests.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Category Team Support

  • Act as the primary support function for the Category Team, enabling category managers to focus on strategic priorities by handling operational sourcing activities.
  • Work closely with the Category Team on sourcing strategies, market intelligence, supplier shortlisting, and execution of category plans.
  • Collaborate with internal and external departments to understand their requirements and develop sourcing solutions that align with HPI goals.
  • Respond to sourcing needs to provide resources and support for project managers in properties.

Supplier Management (Lead Role)

  • Lead the end-to-end supplier management process across the supplier lifecycle, from onboarding through performance review and offboarding.
  • Manage and be responsible for supplier registration, including the collection, verification, and validation of supplier documentation, compliance records, and onboarding into HPI systems.
  • Manage and be responsible for supplier performance, including defining KPIs, monitoring delivery, quality, service levels, and compliance against contractual standards, and driving corrective actions and continuous improvement.
  • Manage and be responsible for the Preferred Vendor Program administration, including maintaining the preferred vendor list, pricing databases, published materials, and ensuring vendors meet program standards.
  • Manage and be responsible for contract management, including drafting, reviewing, tracking, renewing, and archiving supplier contracts and agreements, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and resolve any issues that may arise.

Key Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of strategic sourcing processes, procedures, and contracts.
  • Demonstrated experience in supplier management, supplier registration, performance management, preferred vendor programs, and contract management.
  • Understanding of product development, processes, and related functions (Purchasing, Marketing, and Distribution).
  • Must be highly organized and able to manage multiple initiatives at once.
  • Must have highly developed communication and relationship skills, with the ability to work closely with category teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Must be detail-oriented and extremely skilled at managing financial data.
  • Must be able to work effectively with minimal oversight.
  • Builds and manages strong relationships with multiple competing suppliers, optimizing performance within category segments.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • A demonstrated understanding of hospitality procurement and project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and nurture strong partnerships across different constituencies, including internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Possesses good written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong PC skills (MS Office); experience with procurement and supplier management systems is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, project management, and presentation skills.
