Position Overview:
The Analyst, Global Strategic Sourcing (Contract Manufacturing & Business Development) supports strategic sourcing initiatives across external suppliers, including BD partnerships and contract manufacturing, through financial analysis, business insights, and cross-functional coordination. This role works closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to support supplier and BD performance, ensure alignment across internal stakeholders and external partners, and contribute to sourcing strategies. The position supports data-driven decision-making and helps ensure alignment with operational, commercial, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
BD Strategy & Business Management
  • Support the ongoing management and performance of BD partnerships, including data tracking, reporting, and participation in business reviews, ensuring alignment on operational and commercial objectives.
  • Assist in analyzing BD business performance (revenue, cost, profitability) and preparing insights for leadership review
  • Support lifecycle management of BD partnerships, including onboarding coordination, ongoing performance tracking, and support of product or business changes.
  • Assist in ensuring alignment between BD partners and internal teams on product specifications, compliance requirements, and documentation expectations.
  • Support change management activities related to BD products and suppliers (e.g., design changes, process updates, supplier changes) in alignment with internal quality and regulatory systems.
  • Provide support for select business development initiatives, including partnerships, product launches, and market expansion efforts.

Financial Analysis & Strategic Decision Support
  • Support development and maintenance of financial, forecasting, and reporting tools/models to support AOP, sourcing initiatives, and operational decision-making, in alignment with Finance.
  • Assist with scenario analysis and investment evaluations (e.g., make vs. buy, supplier selection, BD performance) to support cross-functional decision-making.
  • Compile and analyze data to support planning activities and strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare presentations and reporting materials for leadership review, ensuring alignment with Finance reporting and assumptions.

Strategic Sourcing & Contract Manufacturing Support
  • Support strategic sourcing activities across CMOs and external suppliers, including data analysis, supplier research, and cost tracking.
  • Assist Technical Sourcing, Operations, and Quality teams with supplier performance tracking and reporting.
  • Support make vs. buy analyses, supplier benchmarking, and cost improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in preparing data and materials for supplier business reviews.
  • Provide analytical and coordination support for contract manufacturing initiatives, including product transfers and portfolio changes.

Cross-Functional Program & Project Management
  • Support cross-functional initiatives related to BD partnerships, contract manufacturing strategies, and sourcing programs.
  • Assist in coordinating activities across Sourcing, Planning, Quality, Engineering, Operations, and Finance.
  • Track project milestones, risks, and deliverables; maintain project documentation and status updates.

Commercial & Contract Support
  • Support review and organization of BD, CMO, and supplier contract information, including pricing and key commercial terms.
  • Assist in developing and analyzing pricing models and cost data for BD partnerships.
  • Provide analytical support for sourcing decisions, negotiations, and cost evaluations.
  • Support identification of cost reduction and cost tracking opportunities.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2 - 4+ years of experience in financial analysis, strategic sourcing, contract manufacturing, BD/OEM management, or related functions; medical device experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience working in Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Experience supporting supplier management, BD/OEM partnerships, or external manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Basic understanding of regulatory and quality requirements in medical device or regulated industries preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a cross-functional, team-based environment.
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a global team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present data and insights clearly, with cultural awareness in a global team environment
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
