Hybrid 1: This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office.

The Strategic Sales Advisor is responsible for new business acquisition based on business size and scope and provides sales knowledge to Individual and Small group.
How you will make an impact:
  • Achieves new business target for all lines of business through execution of sales process.
  • Cultivates trust-based relationships and develops comprehensive understandings of client needs and priorities.
  • Acts as a consultative collaborative partner with brokers, consultants, and key decision makers.
  • Develops and implements business plans to address broker/client needs.
  • Conducts broker, agency, and/or client education on pertinent topics.
  • Coordinates with internal partners to meet and exceed client expectations, driving opportunities for additional growth and product sales.
  • Ability to learn and become familiar with the industry and products at the local, state, and federal level; continuously updates knowledge in a rapidly changing environment.
  • With general supervision, provides sales knowledge to clients and brokers and is able to ask for and accept guidance when needed from leadership and/or team members acting as resources.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 2 years of sales experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. Sales license and appointment required as governed by state law.
  • Sales license and appointment required upon hire or is required to be obtained and appointed within sixty (60) days of hire.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
  • Experience with office tools, cloud-based software, social media & collaboration tools strongly preferred.
