Our Internship Experience

Our Commercial Leasing Internship is a paid internship designed to provide students with hands-on exposure to the commercial real estate industry. Interns will work alongside experienced leasing, property management, and asset management professionals, gaining insight into the strategies and operations that drive successful commercial properties.

Throughout the program, interns will participate in various aspects of commercial leasing, including tenant relations, market research, property marketing, lease administration, business development, and property operations. Each intern will be paired with a mentor who will provide guidance, professional development, and real-world industry experience. Interns may also have the opportunity to contribute to special projects that support leasing initiatives, occupancy goals, and portfolio performance.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of an assigned mentor, the Commercial Leasing Intern will support leasing and property management teams in the day-to-day operations of commercial real estate assets. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in tenant acquisition, lease negotiations, market analysis, and property operations while developing a strong understanding of the commercial real estate industry.

The Commercial Leasing Intern will assist with a variety of responsibilities, including:

  • Supporting leasing efforts through prospect outreach, lead tracking, and tenant engagement activities.
  • Assisting with market research, competitive property analysis, and demographic studies.
  • Helping prepare leasing proposals, marketing materials, presentations, and property tours.
  • Maintaining leasing and tenant records, databases, and reporting tools.
  • Participating in tenant meetings, property inspections, and leasing strategy discussions.
  • Assisting with lease administration and ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborating with property management and operations teams to support tenant satisfaction and retention efforts.
  • Contributing to special projects related to occupancy growth, asset performance, and business development initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

This full-time internship is ideal for students interested in commercial real estate, leasing, sales, finance, property management, or business development. Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Previous internship, customer service, sales, or administrative experience is a plus but not required.
