What is a strategic procurement manager?

A Strategic Procurement Manager is a professional responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies that align with an organization's business goals. They analyze market trends, negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and seek opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality. By working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors, they ensure the organization procures goods and services efficiently and effectively. Their role often involves risk management, supplier evaluation, and continuous process improvement.

  • Proven experience in project-based purchasing or EPC procurement is a strong plus
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in ERP systems and MS Office tools
  • Hands-on, structured, and proactive working style with a strong sense of ownership
  • Willingness to travel to suppliers, project sites, and company locations as required
