What role you will play on our team

We are seeking a highly experienced and forward-thinking Strategic Marketing Manager to shape marketing strategy, value chain approach, customer development and deliver high impact business results in the new business development space in ExxonMobil. This role combines deep domain expertise, strategic marketing experience, innovative mindset, and disciplined execution to develop and deliver robust commercial market strategy, that is aligned with internal decision makers

What you will do
  • Segment Strategy Development: develop and execute market segment strategy, including detailed market / industry / competitiveness assessment, market entry / channel to market options, value in use for subsegment and marketing communications to meet the platform objectives
  • Value Chain Engagement: Lead and develop external value chain engagements / customer development and build strategic 3P relationships
  • Value Proposition Development: Create and maintain detailed competitor profiles and comparative analyses, use attribute-based approach to quantify market size and value in use vs next best alternative.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Guide product and application development.  Collaborate with technology and platform commercial team to accelerate the commercialization.
About You

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • B.S. degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field
  • 15+ years experience in business development, sales, or strategic commercial roles
  • Proven track record of closing complex enterprise deals and managing multi-million dollar pipelines
  • Previous experience in the infrastructure industry will be valued
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders internally and externally
  • Ability to navigate matrix organizations and work effectively with global teams
  • Willingness to extensively travel internationally

Capabilities and Experience:

  • Training in bio or chemical domain
  • Commercial experience in bio and/or chemical industry
  • Strategic marketing capability in building new business
  • Strong product and application expertise
  • Business model design experience
