This is how we aim to prevent, stop and cure diseases and ensure everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come. Join Roche, where every voice matters.

The Position

We are seeking a Strategic Consulting Manager to lead the US Roche Consulting Strategic team, partnering with our commercial organization to align strategic roadmaps between Roche and key customers. As the primary leader for US Strategic Consulting across all franchises, you will drive business growth by overseeing a high-performing team that shapes critical customer strategies, delivers measurable impact, and ensures we exceed revenue and long-term partnership goals.

Our Purpose: Roche Strategic Consultants partner with healthcare system leaders to turn clinical, operational, and financial strategy into sustainable action. Operating both inside and outside the laboratory, Strategic Consultants bridge the gap between clinical vision and operational execution to turn innovation into measurable financial value and lasting community impact.

  • Executive Engagement: Build and maintain C‑suite relationships to align Roche solutions and innovation with customer strategic roadmaps.
  • Strategic Delivery: Own end‑to‑end delivery of complex projects, synthesizing insights into compelling executive narratives.
  • Consulting Service Portfolio Leadership: Drive utilization of the Strategic Consulting portfolio, including Sizing Strategic Opportunities & Building Business Cases, Strategy Definition & Visioning, Business Model Innovation, and Disease Management Consulting.
  • Consulting Solution Design: Translate business challenges into actionable frameworks, focusing on outcomes‑based healthcare delivery enabled by Roche integrated solutions while shaping and driving RFP wins, in collaboration with the broader consulting team.
  • US Payer/Provider Dynamics: Apply deep understanding of IDNs (Integrated Delivery Networks), ACOs (Accountable Care Organizations), and MACRA/MIPS Reimbursement structures.

Team Management & Development

  • Talent Development: Recruit, mentor, and coach high-performing consultants to elevate analytical capabilities and foster a culture of continuous learning.
  • Elevate Value: Integrate new Strategic Consulting tools, methodologies, and competencies by leveraging and localizing the Roche Consulting Strategic Consulting Learning Journey.

Operational & Ecosystem Excellence

  • Operational Leadership: Coordinate cross‑functional ecosystems (medical, policy, sales, Consulting, marketing) to drive implementation excellence and best practices.
  • Implementation Excellence: Serve as a catalyst for adoption and execution of new Consulting competencies, methodologies, and tools while contributing to global and local networks.
  • Global Support: Enable and support local implementation of outcome‑based proposals and projects in partnership with global consultants.

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications

  • MBA or equivalent advanced business qualification.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and presentation skills; proven ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
  • Strong understanding of matrix organizations and organizational dynamics; proven ability to build teams and manage diverse stakeholders virtually.
  • Deep expertise in the US healthcare ecosystem, including provider economics (IDNs), payer dynamics, and risk‑bearing entities; preference for Value/Outcome‑Based Healthcare experience and Diagnostics Industry.
  • Extensive experience in commercial functions in life sciences, diagnostics, pharma, or healthcare, or equivalent professional consulting.
  • Proven ability to influence C‑suite stakeholders; exceptional communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
  • Understanding of Roche Consulting operations, processes, and service delivery.
