The Job/What You'll Do:
The Sales Intelligence Analyst is a key member of the Sales Operations team, responsible for transforming advisor conversations, sales interactions, market trends, and commercial data into actionable intelligence that improves sales performance and informs sales strategy.
Leveraging Gong AI, Salesforce, CRM Analytics, ChatGPT, industry research, and other intelligence sources, this role identifies emerging advisor trends, evaluates sales execution, and proactively surfaces opportunities and risks that help Sales Leadership optimize sales strategy, coaching priorities, commercial initiatives, and resource allocation.
Success in this role requires intellectual curiosity, strong business acumen, and the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources into actionable recommendations that enable the organization to anticipate market shifts, strengthen sales execution, and accelerate growth.
We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our office location in Phoenix, AZ or Concord, CA.
Responsibilities:
Advisor, Sales & Market Intelligence:
  • Analyze advisor conversations and sales interactions to identify emerging advisor needs, competitive trends, and commercial opportunities
  • Evaluate sales execution, messaging, and adoption of strategic sales plays to identify coaching opportunities, best practices, and opportunities to improve sales effectiveness
  • Proactively monitor industry trends and leading indicators-including advisor succession, RIA breakaway activity, competitive activity, regulatory developments, and evolving advisor needs-to inform sales strategy and commercial priorities
  • Synthesize internal and external intelligence into clear, actionable recommendations for Sales Leadership
  • Deliver recurring executive intelligence that helps the organization proactively identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and improve commercial performance

Executive Insights & Reporting:
  • Produce recurring intelligence for Sales Leadership, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly business insights
  • Present findings and translate complex information into concise, executive-level recommendations
  • Tell the story behind the data by connecting insights to business decisions and strategic actions

AI & Analytics:
  • Leverage Gong AI, Salesforce, CRM Analytics, ChatGPT, and other business intelligence tools to accelerate research and uncover meaningful insights
  • Continuously refine AI prompts, research methodologies, and analytical frameworks to improve the quality and speed of commercial intelligence
  • Work comfortably with data from multiple sources to support analysis and validate business insights

Cross-Functional Partnership:
  • Partner with Sales Leadership, Sales Enablement, Marketing, Product, and Business Intelligence to translate advisor, sales, and market intelligence into actionable business recommendations
  • Provide objective commercial intelligence that informs sales strategy, improves coaching and commercial execution, and supports strategic business decisions across the Sales organization
  • Develop insights and recommendations that span multiple sales channels, helping identify enterprise-wide opportunities, emerging trends, and best practices that can be leveraged across the business

Success Measures:
  • Deliver actionable intelligence that influences sales strategy and business decisions
  • Identify meaningful advisor, market, and commercial trends before they become mainstream
  • Enable Sales Leadership and Sales Enablement with objective insights that improve coaching and sales execution
  • Drive adoption of AI and commercial intelligence capabilities across the Sales organization
  • Establish Sales Operations as a trusted strategic partner by delivering timely, proactive, and actionable commercial intelligence

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 3-5+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Sales Analytics, Business Intelligence, Revenue Operations, Commercial Strategy, Market Research, or a related analytical role
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize information from multiple sources into actionable business insights and recommendations
  • Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Salesforce, Gong, CRM Analytics, Tableau, or Power BI is preferred
  • Comfort working with data and analytics tools to support business analysis is preferred
  • Experience leveraging ChatGPT to accelerate research, synthesize information, identify trends, and generate business insights is preferred

Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $95,000-$115,000 for Phoenix and between $115,000 - $130,000 for Concord.
This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
