IA Strategic Delivery Studio introduces a new model that brings global delivery, offering IA Studios the convenience of internal Employees that are trained architectural professionals. IA Strategic Delivery creates comprehensive design and documentation sets for all phases of a project, from initial concepts to detailed construction documents. This insourced solution delivers the speed and quality alignment studios need without the complexity of managing external vendors.

We are currently looking for a Managing Director for our Strategic Delivery Studio. The Managing Director will serve as the single point of contact for all studio requests, coordinating a team of architects and technical staff to meet the specific needs of each project. This centralized model ensures consistent quality, responsive support, and simplified engagement-allowing studios to focus on design and client delivery.

Job Responsibilities

Internal Engagement & Communication

Centralized staffing reduces duplication, improves resource utilization, and streamlines delivery across the firm

Presents ideas and solutions confidently and persuasively to IA internal leaders and internal teams.

Interfaces directly with executive-level client stakeholders to shape design strategy and business impact.

Maintains strong, ongoing relationships with key clients and identifies opportunities for deeper engagement.

Project Oversight & Budgeting

Oversees the scope of work, ensuring alignment with project budgets and timelines.

Collaborates with project managers to monitor budgets and request additional services as needed.

Advises on project work plans and resourcing strategies in alignment with design goals.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Leads and mentors multidisciplinary design teams, providing creative guidance and developmental feedback.
  • Fosters a collaborative, inclusive studio culture that reflects IA's design values and promotes professional growth.
  • Responsible for assembling, hiring, onboarding, and cross-training a diverse team.

Education, Work Experience, and Leadership

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited architecture or design program.

Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in commercial interior architecture and design.
  • Licensed Architect required
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional creative teams and driving business objectives.

Leadership Qualifications

  • Proven ability to define and communicate vision for the studio
  • Guides internal teams toward impactful, brand-aligned design solutions.
  • Fosters an environment of open communication, collaboration, and mutual respect.
