Job description

The opportunity
Unity is the world's leading game engine, powering play for more than 3 billion consumers each month. From prototype to production, ad to install, click to commerce - everything that a great game needs is already inside Unity, supported by the most successful game development community in history, powered by an engine that ensures each decision is informed by what players love. Unity also enables teams across industries like automotive, manufacturing, and healthcare to design, simulate, and collaborate in 3D - closing the gap between ideas and reality.

The Strategic Partnerships and Corporate Development team sits at the center of Unity's most complex and consequential growth initiatives. We are a high-performing, deeply cross-functional group that drives near-term revenue and long-term strategic advantage by structuring partnerships, incubating new lines of business, and solving ambiguous problems that span Games, Industry, and Ads-including initiatives at the intersection of AI, data, and the Unity runtime.

Acting as the connective tissue for Unity's most important partners and opportunities, the team is frequently called upon to break down internal barriers, step into areas without clear ownership, and translate strategy into execution. We take a Unity-first approach, measuring success not by what we own, but by the company-wide outcomes we help unlock.

We are seeking a Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager to build and scale new business opportunities, and strike deals that will create new value for the Unity ecosystem.

As a Senior Strategic Partnership Manager, you will drive Unity's business forward by evaluating new opportunities and partnerships. You will be the bridge between strategy and execution: aligning our strategic objectives with Product and Engineering, ensuring seamless execution to drive new business incubation and Unity's growth objectives. A core focus is scaling new initiatives or partnerships through rigorous due diligence, analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.

What you'll be doing

  • New Opportunity Development: Identify, research, and validate new partnership and investment opportunities to scale our business.
  • Program Incubation & Launch: Drive the incubation and launch of new partnership-driven programs across key business verticals like AI, Platforms, Industry, and Commerce.
  • Financial Modeling & Due Diligence: Conduct financial analysis and due diligence to build data-driven business cases for or against new ventures and partnership opportunities.
  • Deal Structuring & Negotiation: Structure commercial deal terms, work with cross-functional teams to define technical scope, and negotiate partner contracts.

What we're looking for

  • Experience in strategic partnerships, management consulting, corporate strategy, or related roles at software or platform companies.
  • Demonstrated ability to research and vet new business opportunities, and quickly establish subject matter expertise.
  • Proven track record of identifying, sizing, and forming strategic recommendations for new growth opportunities, or successfully incubating and scaling new business lines/products within a large organization.
  • Strong data and commercial acumen, with experience in financial modeling, developing business models, evaluating pricing strategies, or designing KPIs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.

You might also have

  • Familiarity with and technical fluency in game development tech, AI, or robotics preferred.

Additional information

  • Relocation support is not available for this position
  • Work visa/immigration sponsorship is not available for this position
$156,600.00 - $234,800.00

This range reflects the anticipated base salary for this position. Beyond base salary, this role may be eligible for equity awards and participation in our company incentive plans (such as annual discretionary bonuses or sales commissions). The final offer amount will depend on several factors, including geographic location and the candidate's relevant experience, professional background, and skill set.

At Unity, we want our team members to thrive. We offer a wide range of benefits designed to support well-being and work-life balance.
