Job description

Senior Product Marketing Manager, Platform Strategy

Ibotta is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager, Platform Strategy to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. Youโ€™ll own the commercial story of the Ibotta Performance Network, building the messaging architecture that Sales, Sales Enablement, and Demand Generation rely on to win in market. Youโ€™ll be at the center of Ibottaโ€™s repositioning from consumer cashback app to performance network โ€” shaping how the market understands why Ibotta is a differentiated growth platform for brands, retailers, and publishers. This is a platformโ€‘level role for someone who can synthesize complexity across an interconnected ecosystem and turn it into a clear, compelling, and credible commercial story.

Location & Work Arrangement

This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States. Not based in Denver? We will offer a relocation bonus to help make your move to the Mile Height City a smooth one.

What you will be doing:
  • Own the Ibotta Performance Network master narrativeโ€”the foundational commercial story that defines how the market understands Ibotta and powers every GTM motion.
  • Shape how the market understands Ibotta by evolving our category narrative, platform positioning, and longโ€‘term commercial story as the ecosystem continues to evolve.
  • Define and evolve Ibottaโ€™s messaging architectureโ€” from topโ€‘level platform positioning and solution narratives to capabilityโ€‘level proof pointsโ€”ensuring every commercial experience tells one coherent story.
  • Establish and govern Ibottaโ€™s messaging framework, ensuring Sales, Sales Enablement, Marketing, and other teams consistently communicate approved positioning across every commercial touchpoint.
  • Define and continuously evolve Ibottaโ€™s differentiated market position against alternative commerce and performance marketing solutions, ensuring our value proposition remains compelling as the market evolves.
  • Own the unified data narrativeโ€”bringing together publisher data, audience intelligence, measurement, and AI capabilities into a differentiated commercial story that clearly communicates customer value.
  • Lead competitive strategy by monitoring the retail media landscape, anticipating market shifts, and translating competitive intelligence into differentiated positioning, messaging, and sales collateral.
  • Lead the Voice of Customer program by synthesizing customer, market, analyst, and field insights into quarterly narrative recommendations that inform positioning and commercial strategy.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to develop executiveโ€‘level commercial narratives for enterprise customers, strategic partnerships, and marquee opportunities.
  • Own the commercial sourceโ€‘ofโ€‘truth library, ensuring messaging, positioning, and strategic assets remain current, consistent, and accessible across the organization.
  • Embrace and uphold Ibottaโ€™s Core Values: Integrity, Boldness, Ownership, Teamwork, Transparency, & A good idea can come from anywhere.
What we are looking for:
  • 8+ years of experience across Product Marketing, Brand Strategy, Commercial Strategy, or related disciplines, with a demonstrated track record of shaping company or platform narratives.
  • Experience in retail media, adtech, commerce media, or performance marketing ecosystems (required). Experience with networks, marketplaces, or platform businesses is strongly preferred.
  • Deep familiarity with enterprise CPG marketing organizations and how brands evaluate advertising and commerce platforms. Experience working at a CPG company or directly supporting CPG customers is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success building company, platform, or category narrativesโ€”not just productโ€‘level messaging. Experience repositioning products or defining emerging categories is highly valued.
  • Exceptional writer capable of creating narratives that influence executives, enterprise customers, investors, and analysts. Writing samples will be requested during the interview process.
  • Experience building scalable messaging governance, positioning frameworks, and commercial enablement systems that drive organizational consistency.
  • Proven ability to synthesize across complex, interconnected product capabilities and translate that complexity into a unified commercial story.
  • Experience with competitive intelligence, market positioning, and VOC programs.
  • Ability to distill highly technical platform and data capabilities into clear, persuasive narratives for Cโ€‘suite and brand decisionโ€‘maker audiences.
  • Comfortable operating in a fastโ€‘paced, highโ€‘growth environment with significant organizational change.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent experience required.
Benefits & Compensation
  • This position includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (medical, dental, vision), Employee Stock Purchase Program, and 401(k) match.
  • Base salary range: $123,000 โ€“ $143,000, with equity and variable components.
  • Additional benefits: paid parking, snacks, occasional meals.
