Job description

Overview

CDPQ Infra, subsidiary of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, leads large public infrastructure projects such as the Réseau express métropolitain (REM). This role supports senior leadership in strategy, communications, and public affairs for the REM.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise user communications, ensure clarity, alignment with CDPQ Infra objectives, manage operational impacts, coordinate with operator, and enhance communication practices.
  • Drive project development and public affairs, integrate strategic analysis of public affairs, stakeholder engagement, identify risks and opportunities, deploy engagement strategies, and incorporate political, social and community dimensions.
  • Define and implement strategic communications and public affairs orientations, advise senior management on sensitive issues, manage reputational risks, and maintain strategic surveillance of political, media and social environments.
  • Develop and execute integrated public speaking strategy, coach executive communications, ensure message coherence and impact across channels, and identify strategic visibility opportunities.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, lead consultation and mobilisation efforts, and represent CDPQ Infra as spokesperson in public forums.
Qualifications
  • University degree in communications, public affairs, political science, or related field.
  • Over 10 years of significant experience in communications and public affairs within complex or high-visibility environments.
  • Recognized expertise in project development, stakeholder management, and social acceptability.
  • Strong analytical skills for large infrastructure projects and understanding of development mechanisms.
  • Experience planning and managing high-level public speaking engagements.
  • Proven ability to advise decision-making bodies and influence in sensitive contexts.
  • Team management and mobilizing leadership experience.
  • Excellent proficiency in French and English.
