About the Role
On behalf of our client, a well-established staffing and consulting firm specializing in IT talent solutions, we are seeking a Strategic Account Manager to drive revenue growth through strategic account management and solution execution. This is a relationship-driven role centered on nurturing and expanding an existing book of business (approximately 80% farming, 20% hunting), while selectively pursuing targeted new opportunities. The new hire will inherit approximately five active accounts to start, with junior candidates expected to ramp to roughly $6K in contribution margin (CM).

Job Description
As a Strategic Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic account management, relationship building, and tailored solution execution. Success in this role requires the ability to speak technically and understand IT skill sets, paired with a strong account-management mindset focused on client meetings and account growth.
Weekly Activity & Metrics
  • 10–12 client meetings per week.
  • 150 cold calls per week.
  • Heavy emphasis on client meetings, relationship building, and account growth.
  • Manage and expand existing business while pursuing targeted new opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve revenue goals and expand market share.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within an assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients at all levels, including C-suite executives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of talent solutions.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand client requirements and propose tailored solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing to maximize profitability.
  • Meet and exceed sales metrics and goals.
  • Utilize CRM software to manage the sales pipeline and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to management.
  • Coordinate and conduct quarterly business reviews with clients.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Assist in ensuring receivables are collected in a timely manner.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.


Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of IT staffing sales and/or account management experience.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales quotas and revenue goals.
  • Ability to speak technically and understand IT skill sets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales methodologies.
  • Bachelor''s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong preference for candidates with a farming/account-management mindset (approximately 80% farming, 20% hunting).
  • Experience managing and growing an existing portfolio of active accounts.
