Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Executive Communication Technician to join our team in Doral, FL.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Utilize tools such as Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow) to manage user access, incidents, and support workflows.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and upgrade of AV systems and communication equipment.
  • Interfaces with users, technology vendors, and stakeholders to ensure quality and user experience expectations are exceeded, and emergent industry best practices are routinely considered.
  • Provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting complex hardware, software, and network issues (including PCs, servers, mainframes, and printers).
  • Act as the top escalation point for complex technical issues before escalating to Tier 3 or specialized teams.
  • Collaborates closely with network services, software engineering, and application development teams to restore service and identify root causes of issues.
  • The technician independently solves complex problems, often taking a new perspective on existing solutions, and serves as a resource and mentor for less experienced colleagues.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, a relevant bachelor’s degree is equivalent to 2 years’ experience.
  • 7+ years of professional information technology experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a role performing executive communications support.
  • Experience in the service or installation of communications, audio, video, and/or audiovisual presentation systems and IT/networks.
  • Two Certifications Required:
    • Security+ or equivalent IAT Level II Certification.
    • Microsoft certification: AZ-104 or MS-102 (Must obtain within 3 months of start date)
  • Experience with ServiceNow, Active Directory, Windows PowerShell and Office 365.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with military/diplomatic operations working within a J-6/G-6/S-6 Directorate or with Special Operations Forces (SOF) or the Department of State (DoS) facilitating user access to and use of video display and conferencing across multiple commands and agencies.
  • Technical and maintenance skills to perform audiovisual troubleshooting. In-depth understanding of broadcast and video, multimedia, video teleconferencing systems, video and audio streaming technologies and standards.
  • Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have an active Secret clearance
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
