Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Store Manager the Support/Display Supervisor arranges and maintains appearance of showroom displays to provide attractive presentation of merchandise to the customer; and coordinates the daily job assignments of the Sales II Associates to ensure smooth flow and availability of merchandise to the customer. Responsibilities:
  • Provides customer service support to customers, assisting customers at the kiosk, ringing up transactions at the POS, and helping to process EEM transactions.
  • Answers the telephone according to Lamps Plus protocol and follows the "Lamps Plus Arrow" to insure outstanding customer service.
  • Supervises and trains other Store Associates and may provide input regarding employee performance and disciplinary actions to insure efficient staffing of departments.
  • Traces discrepancies between inventory and stock control records, takes corrective action as necessary and communicates with Inventory Control.
  • Checks weekly shipments of merchandise received, reviews merchandise log to determine which, items need to be pulled and assembled for display. Performs assembly as required.
  • Interacts with Warehouse and Purchasing Departments regarding shipments, store supply orders, special orders, and problem situations.
  • Conducts stock check using internal tools and inventory sheets & reports damage, breakage, and shortages
  • Supervises the defective merchandise area or recycles to repair department if necessary.
  • Answers questions on product usage, assists customers with carry-out of merchandise after purchase and provides outstanding customer service.
  • Complete weekly task sheets and report to progress to the Visual Display Team and Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager.
  • Educates trains and ensures proper use of ladders, knives, tools, and dollies.
  • Routinely rearranges store displays to ensure proper presentation of product, correct placement, ticketing, and illumination of product per planogram. Includes moving ceiling and wall product while on a ladder.
  • Prepares price tags for sales floor and tags merchandise accordingly.
  • Places product on displays to LP specifications. Includes hanging ceiling and wall product while on a ladder.
  • Checks daily e-mails and weekly task sheets to resolve issues relative to store display. Replies to weekly emails, communicates via email or telephone with corporate display personnel.
  • Has open communication with management and Corporate Display Department with regard to progress.
  • Consults with Store Manager or Corporate Display Department regarding questions, problems or other situations involving store displays and paperwork.
  • Enforces company policies relative to Loss Prevention and Human Resources procedures.
  • Promotes safe work environment through adherence to Company safety standards & informs management of any safety violations or equipment used incorrectly.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.

What You Bring to the Table:
  • 1-2 years supervisory experience, including background in display or stock/inventory control.
  • Electrical knowledge helpful.
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds, climb ladders, and do constant standing, bending, and stooping.
  • Regular job attendance is required in accordance with a regular schedule established for the position by the Store Manager.
  • Strong organizational, planning, prioritizing, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
  • Must be willing to move fixtures and able to climb and use a ladder.
