At Sinclair Tractor, we pride ourselves on being the destination in Southeast Iowa for agricultural equipment, precision farming, agronomic decision support, and NAPA parts and supplies. With thirteen John Deere dealerships, five NAPA parts locations, and a Supply Store, we are committed to providing exceptional customer service and high-quality products while developing outstanding team members.
Purpose
The Store Associate will support daily store operations by assisting customers with parts and small equipment sales, parts inventory and delivery and tasks delegated by the store manager.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Lead by example to deliver exceptional service to retail and wholesale customers
  • Serve customers in-store, by phone, and assist with deliveries as needed
  • Support daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
  • Assist with freight check-in, stocking, merchandising, and maintaining store appearance
  • Provide accurate parts knowledge and solutions to customers
  • Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, restocking, and organization
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Assist with scheduling coverage, workflow prioritization, and task delegation
  • Step in as acting leader
  • Participate in required training, John Deere or NAPA online courses, and product education
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive workplace culture

Experience and Skills
Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge
  • Previous experience in a parts store, automotive, agriculture or related industry preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic to intermediate computer and point-of-sale system skills
  • Working knowledge of inventory management practices

Working Conditions & Requirements
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds
  • Occasional travel as needed
