Job description

Overview

Compensation: $105,000 - $155,000 based on experience and credentials

Location Type: Remote, candidate must reside in FL

The Solutions Architect is responsible for designing and implementing solutions that address specific business problems. The incumbent works closely with stakeholders and enterprise leaders to translate requirements to technical solutions. This role involves a mix of technical expertise and business acumen to ensure that the solutions meet desired strategic key performance indicators.


Responsibilities
  • Design and validate enterprise-level architectural solutions, including integrations with vendor and third-party systems, APIs, data flows, and clear technical boundaries between internal and external components that meet the organization's strategic goals

  • Maintain detailed documentation of architecture design, implementation, and maintenance processes in solution design specifications and enterprise architecture meta-models

  • Partner with Security, Risk, and business stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks to proposed solutions ensuring security, regulatory, and threat-modeling requirements are met

  • Balance speed and technical debt through clear tradeoffs, evolve architecture as priorities change, document decisions for confident delivery, and use AI while retaining ownership of analysis and outcomes.

  • Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships across technical and business teams by providing an objective perspective on the intersection of business requirements and technical capability

  • Contribute to the maturing Enterprise Architecture practice and evaluate technologies and development practices that improve platform performance, maintainability, architectural fit, and solution effectiveness

  • Oversee the integration of diverse systems, ensuring seamless operation and data flow across platforms

  • Lead solution architecture for the organization's in-house platform, partnering with business and technology leaders, development teams, and vendors to understand needs and deliver scalable, implementable solutions

  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to business leaders and partners, work closely with technical teams to turn architecture designs into delivered software, and step in directly when design or coordination gaps appear

  • Write clearly and effectively, communicating architecture effectively through audience-tailored deliverables

  • Read with strong reading comprehension; the ability to absorb complex information quickly and accurately

  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of current trends, laws, and issues affecting the area of expertise

  • Attend educational events to increase professional knowledge

  • Complete annual compliance and info security training to understand employees' role in maintaining effective compliance and security programs


Qualifications
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience with software systems, including progressively increasing levels of responsibility
  • A minimum of 7 years of system engineering and design
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience with a cloud environment (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • A minimum of 5 years of relational database design
  • A minimum of 2 years of No-SQL storage design
  • Advanced knowledge of all .Net and Windows technologies (or similar)
  • Experience defining and using reference architectures for cloud-native and on-premise solutions
  • Experience with various distributed system communication patterns (synchronous, asynchronous, event driven, event sourcing, etc.)
  • Knowledge of modern networks, internal, external, edge, and cloud
  • Ability to understand business processes and to align technical solutions with business goals
  • Excellent diagramming skills to effectively communicate design and process
  • Ability to mentor other peers in technology
  • Experience working with data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse)
  • Ability to prioritize tasks by effectively managing competing and changing priorities to meet deadlines
