Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Database and Storage Manager, Engineer is expected to be able to accomplish the following:

  • Architects, designs, implements and maintains complex enterprise SANs and data backup recovery systems.  
  • In collaboration with other architecture and engineering teams (systems engineering, database administration, network operations and applications development), analyze and design enterprise storage systems used for customer data management, high transaction database processing and storage.  
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze and translate business requirements into solution designs for new implementations and upgrades to existing platforms.  
  • Manages and provides operational support of data availability and retention systems such as server and SAN based backups and enterprise level backup solutions.  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active TS/SCI + CI Poly clearance
  • BS, 5-7 years of relevant experience; MS, 3-5 years; PhD, 0-3 years
  • One or more of the following DoD 8570/8140 certifications: 
    • ComTIA Security+
    • CompTIA CySA+ 
    • GSEC
    • CND

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • CASP+ 
  • CISSP (Meets IAT III) 
  • One advanced vendor-specific storage certification (EMC, NetApp, HPE, etc.) 
  • One virtualization or data center certification (VMware or equivalent) 
  • AWS or Azure architecture certification 
  • Demonstrated expertise in high availability, disaster recovery, and secure storage architecture 

We are seeking a Database and Storage Manager, Engineer to join our Task Order proposal on the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise III (SITE III). The Database and Storage Manager, Engineer installs, supports, maintains and monitors IT Storage Area Network (SAN) infrastructure for reliability and uptime.

WAGE INFORMATION

Target salary range: $105,000.00 - $137,000.00. The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
