Job Summary:
Syntricate Technologies is seeking a Storage Admin to manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of storage systems. The role involves administering enterprise storage solutions, managing backups, and ensuring compliance with security protocols.
Responsibilities:
• Storage Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of storage systems, including storage provisioning, data replication, backups, and performance optimization for UNIX, Linux, and Windows environments.
• Enterprise Storage Infrastructure (SAN): Administer and troubleshoot various enterprise storage solutions, such as PowerMAX, VPLEX, Dell Data Domain, RecoverPoint, ECS, Brocade fiber switches/directors.
• Maintain and configure NAS: Administer and troubleshoot Isilon (PowerScale) and Superna suite
• Backup Solutions: Manage and troubleshoot backups and replication with Avamar backup systems. Preferred experience with Powerprotect Data Manager.
• CyberVault: Desired but not needed, experience with DELL CyberVault, Cyber Recovery and Cyber Sense for disaster recovery.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of storage hardware and software configurations, connectivity, and procedures.
• Patching and compliance: Perform patch assessments and follow compliance procedures for hardware upgrades, disaster recovery, and follow security protocols.
• 24x7 On-Call Support: Participate in an on-call rotation for urgent system issues and ensure timely response to critical storage problems.
• Collaboration and Training: Work with teams across the organization to develop training materials for new storage technologies.
• Service Improvement: Identify and execute improvements in storage services to enhance overall customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Dell/EMC SAN and NAS Storage: Hands-on experience with Dell/EMC midrange storage solutions, including PowerMAX, VPLEX, RecoverPoint, Isilon NAS and ECS
• Brocade Switches: Experience with Brocade fiber switches/directors
• Storage Virtualization: Proven experience with storage virtualization technologies
• Disaster Recovery Expertise
Preferred:
• Preferred experience with Powerprotect Data Manager
• Desired but not needed, experience with DELL CyberVault, Cyber Recovery and Cyber Sense for disaster recovery
