Job Summary:

RAM Construction Services is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Estimator/Project Manager to join our Facade Restoration Division. This dual role position is crucial to the success of our projects, as it combines technical estimating expertise with hands-on project management.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, researching materials and systems, and managing all phases of restoration projectsโ€”from preconstruction through closeout. This includes overseeing client communications, coordinating field operations, monitoring budgets and schedules, and conducting risk assessments to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Success in this role requires strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and a deep understanding of masonry/concrete restoration systems and construction practices. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as superior organizational and time management abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for estimating and managing commercial construction projects from start to finish
  • Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to develop accurate cost estimates
  • Analyze and interpret project blueprints, drawings, and specifications to accurately estimate material, labor, and equipment costs
  • Prepare take-offs, the scope of work, and bid packages for commercial construction projects
  • Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain quotes
  • Analyze bid results and prepare detailed proposals and cost estimates for clients
  • Manage commercial construction projects from pre-construction to project completion, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Monitor project progress and communicate with clients, subcontractors, and project team members to ensure that project goals are met
  • Develop project leads.
  • Coordinate and manage all projects and activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control
  • Ensure that project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and project reports, is completed accurately and on time

Education Required:

  • Minimum education level of a bachelorโ€™s degree in construction management or a related field

Experience, Knowledge, and Abilities Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial construction cost estimation with a focus on restoration projects.
  • Experience with specialty contractors or self-performing contractors preferred
  • Building Envelope Systems- understanding of various faรงade systems and materials such as masonry, concrete, stone, curtain walls, windows, and roofing.
  • Proven experience in estimating and managing construction projects from start to finish
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices, as well as applicable building codes and regulations.
  • Knowledge of historic preservation principles and techniques
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills with an aptitude for problem-solving
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, specifications, and technical documents
  • Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • A high degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions

Work Environment:

As an Estimator Project Manager for RAM, the employee will be subject to office and jobsite/field settings. Work environments may include, but are not limited to, the following: seasonal temperatures, high spaces, small spaces, loud, frequent noise, standing/walking for up to 12 hours a day, indoor/outdoor settings, and areas close to traffic.

Travel: Travel to and from job sites is required. RAM will cover travel expenses, if applicable.

Reporting Structure: The Estimator Project Manager reports directly to the Regional Director
